Greetings Fellow PANC-ers!

Thank you for checking our website. At our Spring Conference you voted to make PANC a stand-alone, membership organization separate from the NC Department of Public Instruction. The new by-laws you approved will bring our organization firmly into the 21st Century with our goal being to provide you with the kind of support you need to be effective in your job.

However, this is a member-driven organization. There are no paid staff. Everyone needs to play a role in order for PANC to be successful. You can do this in a number of ways:

• Become a paying member of PANC (see below for dues structure);
• Serve on the Steering Committee;
• Serve on these standing committees: conference, professional development, legislative, or membership;
• Be active in your regional PANC.

Our dues are $50 for active members. These are school personnel employees who spend 50% or more of their time on personnel administration duties. Associate membership is $30 for those who spend less that 50% of their time on personnel administration duties and/or who are employed by an educational instutitution, or enrolled as a student in a program of educational administration or human resource management. Any active or associate member who is retired qualifies to be a retired member for $30.

Membership Dues must be paid before the annual fall conference each year.

As we move into unchartered waters, I ask your patience as we get this new organization off the ground. If you have any suggestions or would like to volunteer for any of our committees, please contact me.
